The team at ME Research UK is very grateful for all the support which the charity receives from its active fundraisers. At the best of times fundraising can seem a daunting prospect but without your support we could not continue to inform, influence or invest in ME research globally. Our current projects simply would not be funded.
Feel inspired? Our Fundraising Guide gives tips and links to resources to get your support off to a flying start.
If fundraising, it is worthwhile to check with your employer to see if they offer a Matched Funding scheme which will add to your fundraising pot.
If you know of any other fundraising opportunities offered by companies – contact us.
David Baxter climbed Ben Nevis in May in aid of ME Research UK.
His wife has moderate ME and his daughter’s ME is severe. He says “it feels like climbing a mountain to get any help or support”.
What an amazing thing to do David – thank you for your support.
Dillon Moore is swimming a marathon on June 17 to raise funds and awareness in aid of ME Research UK. Thank you so much Dillon.
Swimming is a huge part of his life, and he made James Walton as a friend from it.
James became unwell in 2020 and you can read about him here.
Suzie Snow did the Great Manchester Run in May to raise funds in aid of ME Research UK. Thank you so much Suzie.
Her sister was diagnosed with ME, and Suzie is also raising awareness to let the world know that ME is not just about “feeling tired” – but a complex and real chronic condition that can make everyday life difficult.

Thank you for this amazing initiative, Richard. We wish you the very best of luck.
