Fundraising Focus – November 2026

We are so grateful to every single person who chooses to fundraise in aid of ME Research UK. It is only because of their support that we can continue to inform, influence, and invest in biomedical research into ME/CFS globally.

Without them, our current projects simply would not be funded.

Each month, Fundraising Focus is our way of saying thank you and celebrate the people behind the fundraising. This includes fundraisers started in October. If your fundraiser began in November, we will make sure to highlight you in our next post.

Archie Healy has raised funds in aid of ME Research UK through his “Sobertober” initiative.

“I’m running this marathon in honour of my wonderful wife Phoebe Craddock, who has severe M.E. I hope someday research into M.E advances far enough to give Phoebe and others like her a higher standard of living, without having to constantly battle pain and exhaustion.”

Thank you, Phillip – and please give our best to Phoebe.

Jane Wall has raised funds in aid of ME Research UK by running the Eryri (Snowdonia) Marathon in October.

“I have just read an article about Beth Dobbin, a GB athlete who is now confined to bed for over 22 hours a day, and I personally cannot conceive of how that must feel. Beth’s story particularly resonated with me because I currently tutor a young man who has been living with ME since the age of 8 and his story is so similar to hers.”

Thank you so much, Jane. Please give our best to your friend.

Jane Harriman is Running the Peak District Ethel’s in aid of ME Research UK. These are hills over 400 metres and there are 95 in total.

“My daughter Fran is 36 and has severe ME and Long Covid. ME research is woefully underfunded compared to other debilitating or life-threatening illnesses. This is why I’m raising money for the UK charity. I’m asking that you donate anything you can – the equivalent of a cup of coffee or a beer to support us.”

Thank you, Jane – and give our best to Fran.

Steve Logan is raising funds in aid of ME Research UK in memory of Muriel Logan.

“Muriel spent a lifetime living with ME and would dearly love a cure to be found. We need to understand this disease better.”

Thank you so much, Steve.

Thank you so much, Ben.
