The team at ME Research UK is very grateful for all the support which the charity receives from its active fundraisers. At the best of times fundraising can seem a daunting prospect but without your support we could not continue to inform, influence or invest in ME research globally. Our current projects simply would not be funded.
Feel inspired? Our Fundraising Guide gives tips and links to resourses to get your support off to a flying start.
If fundraising, it is worthwhile to check with your employer to see if they offer a Matched Funding scheme which will add to your fundraising pot.

A welcome return to fundraiser Richard Heywood who is once more raising money for ME Research UK. In addition to a 10km run in Blackpool, Richard will take part in the Triathlon Sprint in York on 18th August having also competed last year. The Sprint encompasses a 400m swim, an 18km cycle and ends with a 5km run.
On 3rd August 2024 Anna Doll will be taking part in the 12th Pitz Alpine Glacier Trail and run a 62km route in the Alps. She will navigate logging roads, singletrack and Alpine tundra over mountain passes at more than 3,000 metres. In the last years, the fastest finishers for a similar route took c10-11 hours depending on the weather conditions. Anna is fundraising in aid of our research work.
Throughout the month of August, Nathan Baxter will be aiming to run a total of 100 km in aid of ME Research UK‘s research work. As he writes on his fundraising page “My sister has severe M.E. Before she became ill she loved dancing, netball, drama and was always active. She now has to spend all day in bed. I want to raise money to show my support for my amazing sister and to help towards more research that is so badly needed.”
