Today (5th July) marks the first annual Research Appreciation Day which celebrates the hard work of health researchers and scientists all around the world. ME Research UK would like to use this opportunity to thank the scientists carrying out biomedical research into the causes, consequences, and treatments for ME/CFS, those with lived experiences of ME/CFS who have taken part in studies, and to all financial supporters who make research happen.
The organisers of Research Appreciation Day 2024 emphasise that ‘All progress, big or small, comes through research.’ Therefore, we highlight ME Research UK’s ongoing work, and recognise that whilst much more research is urgently needed, it is important to acknowledge the work done thus far.
