Fundraising Focus – August 2026

We are so grateful to every single person who chooses to fundraise in aid of ME Research UK. It is only because of their support that we can continue to inform, influence, and invest in biomedical research into ME/CFS globally.

Without them, our current projects simply would not be funded.

Each month, Fundraising Focus is our way of saying thank you and celebrate the people behind the fundraising.

Kezia Howlett will hike a 5 mile route up the small Wainwright mountain Latrigg in aid of ME Research UK.

“5 miles might not sound a lot to many people but since developing ME/CFS it’s a big challenge for me mentally and physically, so thank you in advance for your support and any donation you’re able to give.”

Thank you so much, Kezia – we wish you well, and take care.

Georgina Coverdale is doing the Great North Run in aid of ME Research UK.

“This charity has a personal connection to us and after seeing the severe impact ME has had on my family, I wanted to do something that could make a difference.”

Thank you, Georgina – you are making a difference. Good luck.

David Fardon is running the London Marathon in 2027 in aid of ME Research UK.

Only biomedical research can find the causes of ME/CFS, improve diagnosis and treatment, and, ultimately, arrive at a cure. That’s why research is our focus.

Thank you, David – it means a lot to us, and to millions of people around the world who live with ME/CFS.
