Fundraising Focus – November 2023

The team at ME Research UK is very grateful for all the support which the charity receives from its active fundraisers. At the best of times fundraising can seem a daunting prospect but without your support we could not continue to inform, influence or invest in ME research globally. Our current projects simply would not be funded.

Feel inspired? Our Fundraising Guide gives tips and links to resourses to get your support off to a flying start.

If fundraising, it is worthwhile to check with your employer to see if they offer a Matched Funding scheme which will add to your fundraising pot.

If you know of any other fundraising opportunities offered by companies – contact us.

Running in the 2024 TCS London Marathon to raise funds for ME research is James Baker. The iconic 26.2 mile event takes place on Sunday 21st April 2024.

Year end is a fitting juncture to pay tribute to the team behind Walk for ME and to each and every walker, runner, rider, cyclist, swimmer, skater, and wheelchair pusher who have managed, collectively, to raise tens of thousands of pounds for ME research this year and hundreds of thousands of pounds since its inception. ME Research UK is immensely grateful to have been chosen as one of the nominated charities – put simply, Walk for ME enables us to fund vital research. Here’s to Walk for ME 2024!
