We are so grateful to every single person who chooses to fundraise in aid of ME Research UK. It is only because of their support that we can continue to inform, influence, and invest in biomedical research into ME/CFS globally.
Without them, our current projects simply would not be funded.
Each month, Fundraising Focus is our way of saying thank you and celebrate the people behind the fundraising.

Thomas Risbridger ran the Bath and Bristol Railway Marathon together with his wife.
“ME and chronic fatigue are conditions affecting others in my family and among my friends. These people have continued to inspire me as they walk positively though life despite these ‘quiet’, chronic conditions which make every day harder, and are almost invisible to most people.”
Thank you so much, Thomas.
Gary Shorrock is taking on one of Britain’s most demanding endurance challenges: the Bob Graham Round in the Lake District.
“Research has shown that quality of life for people with ME/CFS can be among the worst reported for any medical condition. Support for this fundraiser will help contribute to urgently needed research into a devastating and neglected illness.”
Thank you so much, Gary.
Lisa Bryce is fundraising in aid of ME Research UK with sponsored gel printing.
“Our 25 year old daughter, Emily, has had ME/CFS for over 4 years now and it keeps getting worse. Medical research is desperately needed to develop treatments to improve the lives of all those suffering with this condition. I hope that you are able to help me raise funds for ME Research UK so that they can fund more research projects.”
Thank you so much, Lisa. And best wishes to Emily.
Rachel Carey is walking 500 miles in May with Megan and Richard.
“Our daughter, and Megan’s sister, Amy was diagnosed with ME last May. It’s an illness without cure or medication, which is alarmingly under researched and is not well understood. We’ve chosen 500 miles as we hope to raise £500 to help research so that one day this terrible disease will be treatable.”
Thank you so much, Rachel, Megan, and Richard.
Roger Kerrison is cycling 50 miles in May in aid of ME Research UK.
“Our daughter Lauren has suffered with ME for many years. Roger is taking on the cycle ride to try and raise funds for research, but also to raise awareness and understanding of this devastating illness and its affects on the sufferer and their family.”
Thank you so much, Roger. We wish Lauren well.
