The team at ME Research UK is very grateful for all the support which the charity receives from its active fundraisers. At the best of times fundraising can seem a daunting prospect but without your support we could not continue to inform, influence or invest in ME research globally. Our current projects simply would not be funded.
Feel inspired? Our Fundraising Guide gives tips and links to resourses to get your support off to a flying start.
If fundraising, it is worthwhile to check with your employer to see if they offer a Matched Funding scheme which will add to your fundraising pot.
If you know of any other fundraising opportunities offered by companies – contact us.
As part of part of ‘Walk for ME 2024’ Emma Mitchell and friends will be holding a community walk at Sanquhar on 8th June 2024 in support of our research work. “I never gave up thanks to my amazing family & friends who are kindly going to Walk for ME starting from my house through upper Nithsdale, to raise money for biomedical research. As my walking is very limited these days.”
Sean Haycock, pals Dom, Jack & Sean met at Newcastle University Athletics & Cross Country Club and there met Alice. Alice has been diagnosed with severe ME and, to aid ME Research UK, the 4 friends will be taking part in the Ironman 70.3 Weymouth on 15th September. The formidable event entails a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile bike ride, and then a 13.1 mile run. Sean, Dom, Jack & Sean describe themselves as ‘4 Idiots do an Ironman’ but to us they are heroes.
