We understand that many supporters have been experiencing the impact of the Coronavirus, or may be starting to worry about what impact it could have on you and your family over the next few weeks.
Likewise, ME Research UK, wishes to protect our staff and their families from the effects of the Cononavirus and our aim is to continue with our work whilst keeping colleagues safe.
From Wednesday 25 March 2020, ME Research UK’s staff will be working from home in-line with government advice on social distancing.
We will continue to answer emails (email@example.com); interact via Facebook; update our website and work with our researchers worldwide but we will not be available to answer telephone calls or respond to letters immediately.
Telephone messages left on 01738 451234 and letters sent to The Gateway will be collected and dealt with at regular intervals whilst access to The Gateway (our base) is possible.
We apologise for any disruption these arrangements may cause but we will work to minimise these and as the situation changes, we will review them.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters and the prudence of our Trustees and staff over the years, we would like to assure researchers and supporters that the charity is financially robust and will pursue its plans to increase investment in ME research worldwide and in PhD studentships as planned.
By working together, we can help minimise the risk of spreading the Coronavirus and protect those nearest to us.
