Fundraising Focus – April 2023

The team at ME Research UK is very grateful for all the support which the charity receives from its active fundraisers. At the best of times fundraising can seem a daunting prospect but without your support we could not continue to inform, influence or invest in ME research globally. Our current projects simply would not be funded.

Feel inspired? Our Fundraising Guide gives tips and links to resourses to get your support off to a flying start.

If fundraising, it is worthwhile to check with your employer to see if they offer a Matched Funding scheme which will add to your fundraising pot.

If you know of any other fundraising opportunities offered by companies – contact us.

Jamie Godden will be running in the tcs London Marathon on Sunday 23rd April to raise funds for ME research. “I will also be running to raise funds and awareness for ME Research UK ….. ME has effected a lot of people I love throughout my life and we still don’t know very much about it and new research is critical to understanding it further”

To celebrate the 90th birthday of John Beach, a JustGiving page has been set-up as he “does not need any material gifts but he would appreciate any donations towards finding the cause of ME which would help with the diagnosis and ultimately find a cure. This is a cause very close to his heart as his grandson is currently suffering from this condition.” Many happy returns, John.
