Cardiff Half Marathon – 5 run for ME Research UK

The Cardiff Half Marathon is one of the UK’s most iconic and scenic races. This year’s event is sold out for individual entries but we have a team of 5 running in aid of ME Research UK.

Since its first run in 2003, where 1,500 participated it has grown to encompass over over 27,500 registered runners – making it one of Europe’s largest half marathons and is Wales’ largest mass participation. Such is its success that it is part of SuperHalfs, a global series of the world’s most prestigious half marathons including races in Lisbon, Prague, Berlin, Copenhagen, Cardiff and Valencia

ME Research UK has 5 runners in this years event which will take place in the Welsh capital on 5th October 2025. The event offers runners a flat, fast course passes all of the city’s most breathtaking scenery and iconic landmarks including Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium, Civic Centre, and the iconic Cardiff Bay.

ME Research UK will be supporting its runners with running vests and / or t-shirts and helping with fundraising, and with social media updates.

For anyone wishing to support us at another event – our Running for Charity page contains resources to help with training and our Fundraising Guide has tips on how to maximise donations.

Finally, and most importantly, have fun running and be proud that your efforts are helping ME Research UK.
