Big Give Christmas Challenge 2024 is live from noon 3rd December to noon 10th December. All funds raised by ME Research UK will be dedicated to investing in ME/CFS biomedical research globally.
What’s more donations will be doubled. The first £14,100 in donations will be doubled by our Pledgers and the next £14,100 by our Charity Champion, The Big Give Trust.
Donations from £1 upwards can be made via the Big Give.
ME Research UK appreciates that to exhaust our matched funding that this mean a mighty (Christmas) challenge. To unlock the Champion funds of £14,100 ME Research UK needs first to access Pledgers’ funds first – in other words, £28,200 needs to be donated during the 3rd to 10th December event to unlock both Pledger and Champion funds – it is a big ask.
If we are successful then at least £56,400 will be raised for research and, for example, that could fund (in whole or in part) a 3-year PhD-level research project.
Last year’s Big Give donations allowed us to extend Professor Barnden’s brain research. This was only possible due to the generocity of last year’s Big Give Christmas Challenge donors.
