ME Research UK is committed to commissioning, promoting and supporting high quality biomedical research into ME/CFS. We strive to achieve this not only through our own efforts but also via our membership of the ME/CFS Research Collaborative. When ME Research UK joined the Collaborative it did so in a spirit of goodwill and co-operation with the aim of furthering the cause of biomedical research; however as with all other member charities, we remain independent and true to our own objectives.
High quality biomedical research into ME should be welcomed although individual studies may not reflect the views and aims of each individual CMRC member. When information is in the public domain, members, and individual patients, can weigh up the merits of each new study. ME Research UK will consider all matters, as we do with all our research, as an autonomous research-based charity with a proven track record of high quality scientific studies.
