All of us at ME Research UK are so very grateful for the support the charity receives from its fundraisers. It is only because of your support that we can continue to inform, influence, and invest in ME/CFS research globally. Without you, our current projects simply would not be funded.
So – join us as we thank all of our amazing fundraisers. And, if you feel inspired, why not look at our Fundraising Guide which gives tips and links to start your own project?
Nathan Baxter has run, and still is running, through August to raise funds and awareness of ME/CFS.
He says: “My sister has severe M.E. Before she became ill, she loved dancing, netball, drama, and was always active. She now has to spend all day in bed. She is often in pain. I want to raise money to show support for my amazing sister, and to help towards more research that is so badly needed.”
Thank you so much, Nathan – and well done on your 100km.
John Jackson is cycling between Ardnamurchan – the most westerly point of the mainland – to Lowestoft, Sussex, the most easterly point in the UK.
He says: “23 or so years ago Danielle, our daughter, was struck with ME/CFS. My wife, Tanya, is now battling with the same debilitating condition. I’ll be doing my bit and hoping to raise some money for ME research and the MS Centre (Snowdrop) in Lochgilphead.”
Thank you so much, John – we look forward to hearing more about your cycling.
Emily’s Elves are back – they say:
“Emily’s Elves have reunited to honour our beautiful friend, Emily, and raise more money for this very deserving charity. We’re running the Vitality London 10,000 on Sunday 28th September, and want to raise as much as we can, to do Emily proud.”
Thank you so much, Nigel, Beth, Nick, Anna, Jo, Ruth, and Alice. Emily would be proud.
