We are so grateful to every single person who chooses to fundraise in aid of ME Research UK. It is only because of their support that we can continue to inform, influence, and invest in biomedical research into ME/CFS globally.
Without them, our current projects simply would not be funded.
Each month, Fundraising Focus is our way of saying thank you and celebrate the people behind the fundraising.
Florence Law and Molly Davies are running the Manchester Marathon in aid of ME Research UK.
“ME remains significantly underfunded and widely misunderstood. This is a brutal, fluctuating disease causing chronic pain, brain fog, and severe fatigue.”
Thank you, Florence and Molly – and good luck!
Chloe Tribe is running the Brighton Marathon in aid of ME Research UK for “her lovely cousin Alice”.
“Any donations no matter how small will be so gratefully received by me and my family but if you can’t donate I would still love to raise much needed awareness about ME and how devastating an illness it can be so please read Alice’s story…”
You can read Alice’s story here – thank you so much, Chloe.
Ailsa Coverdale is celebrating her 50th birthday by fundraising in aid of ME Research UK.
“There has to be hope in medical research as we inch closer to understanding the illness. There has to be hope that the medical research will then be able to provide treatments to the next generation of sufferers. That’s a reality I have to do my best to make happen.”
Thank you so much, Ailsa – and happy birthday.
Fun Notty Artefacts is has made a ME Awareness Desk Doll pattern.
“I was diagnosed with ME in 2001 and created a beginner-friendly crochet pattern during periods of illness as a gentle, creative way to cope. The blue ME Awareness Doll is now sold on a not-for-profit basis, with all proceeds donated to ME charities in the UK, including ME Research UK.”
Thank you so much.

Kellie Farmer is running in the London Marathon in aid of ME Research UK to support her friend, Susanna.
“My wonderful friend Susanna’s life has been dramatically altered by ME. Please help me to raise awareness by giving any amount you can.”
Thank you, Kellie – and we wish Susanna the very best.

Tamsin Connely and Sarah Maguire are participating in the 2026 Dundee KiltWalk in aid of ME Research UK.
By walking in support of ME Research UK, they raise awareness and spread hope.
Thank you so much, both of you.
