Thanks to the wonderful support ME Research UK has received we have a Pledge Pot of £19,100 available to match-fund donations received during the Christmas Challenge which runs from 2nd – 9th December 2025.
During that week donations to our research work via the Big Give site will be DOUBLED from our Pledge Pot until the pot of £19,100 has been emptied. IF we are chosen by a Charity Champion then they will add a further match-funding pot of £19,100 which can be drawn upon meaning, potentially, £38,200 will be match-funded.

How Will Funds be used?
All funds received to the Big Give Christmas Challenge will be invested in biomedical research into the causes, consequences and treatment of ME/CFS globally. Last year’s proceeds helped fund Dr Sarah Annesley’s research entitled ‘Do microRNAs regulate platelet activation and metabolic dysfunction in women with ME/CFS?‘ Of course, the difference a grant makes is not confined to funding research alone but has the effect of supporting the research unit and creating a research-base for future work.
