Sponsored events

Sponsored events of any kind are very popular, fun and an ideal way to raise money. If you are considering doing a sponsored event for us we have produced a sponsorship form for you to print off and use. It also acts as a Gift Aid form to increase the amount raised. The completed form MUST be returned to us after the event to allow us to claim Gift Aid.

If you want to take part in a sponsored running event such as a 10K or marathon, we have prepared some specific advice on running for charity.

If walking is more your style, then you may be interested in the Walk for ME scheme.

If you want friends, colleagues and relatives to make donations towards your event online by debit or credit card, then Justgiving is the perfect thing! People usually give more when they pay by card as they don’t have to find the cash. What’s more, the sponsorship is transferred automatically to us so you don’t have to chase any cash or cheques. Gift Aid is also collected automatically leaving you to concentrate on organising the event.

Did you know that 1 in every four donations on JustGiving come through sharing activity?

That is why JustGiving has made it easier to enable donations ‘on the go’ and by sharing.

  • Fundraising Page QR codes

Want to collect donations more easily? Fundraisers can create a personalised fundraising page’s QR code just by adding “/qrcode” to the end of the URL. For example, https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/meresearchuk/qrcode. From there, add it to leaflets, collection tins, or even t-shirts to easily get donations from others with just a scan. Uses are limitless!

  • Add to Apple Mobile

When fundraisers share pages in person, they can convey their passion in ways that just can’t be matched virtually. Now supporters using iPhone and Apple Watch can save any Fundraising Page as a pass in their Wallet, meaning they’ll never miss a donation opportunity again.

Catching up with friends, seaking with work colleagues, chatting about upcoming fundraising challenges? Instead of looking up URLs or promising to “send the link later,” a suporter can pull out a phone, open Wallet, and the fundraising page’s QR code is available immediately to scan.

The pass features the name, plus the page’s QR code, title, fundraising target, closing date, and the charity name.

Apple users just click “Add to Apple Wallet” in the page’s sharing options, and it will appear.

  • Posters

JustGiving Fundraising Pages an be transformed easily into into pre-designed posters with the fundraising page’s current details, images, fundraising target, and a QR code to donate to the page. The print option is in the sharing component of every Fundraising Page. From here, fundraisers can print right away or download their poster for later.
