We are delighted to announce ME Research UK’s first award for PhD-level research. This is for a project being conducted at the University of Edinburgh by PhD student Gemma Samms under the supervision of Professor Chris Ponting.
The project aims to identify which dysfunctional genes highlighted by DecodeME are most likely to contribute to the risk of ME/CFS, and to assess their impact on cell function.
We are very pleased to be able to support this exciting project and to help enable the next steps of Gemma’s research career.
