Dr Bateman specializes in the diagnosis and management of ME/CFS and fibromyalgia. Her experience with both illnesses began when her sister was diagnosed, and now, after 25 years of clinical and research experience, she is the founder and chief medical officer of Bateman Horne Center of Excellence in Salt Lake City. Dr. Bateman also served on the Institute of Medicine committee that recently produced the 2015 report, ‘Beyond Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: Redefining an Illness’.
These talks are produced under the auspices of ‘Science to Patients’, which is a Dutch government subsidized project, in which the gap between medical science and patients is bridged by inviting scientists to deliver short webinars on topics of concern to patients.
