We are delighted to announce that ME Research UK has awarded a new research grant to Dr Audrey Brown at Newcastle University.
Previous work at Newcastle has revealed abnormalities in the AMPK enzyme that may help explain the muscle fatigue experienced by patients with ME/CFS. This new project aims to explore the mechanisms underlying these changes, and may help to identify potential targets for treatment.
